Q. Is there a beach we can walk to ?

A. There is a small beach within walking distance, however the path is step and not suitable for buggies if you have young children. Galley Bay beach is less than 5 minutes in the car as well as a number of other lovely beaches. This is what Antigua is known for! 

Q. Is there a restaurant near by?

A. Galley Bay Hotel which is 5* has a lunchtime beach restaurant as well as the main restaurant. Please note the hotel is adults only. There are plenty of other restaurants within 20 minutes. Please see the links page. 

Q. Is there a spar nearby?

A. Yes, at Galley Bay hotel. 

Q. Is there a supermarket near by?

A. The closest is just outside of St Johns (the capital), 10 minutes by car. The best is in Woods Mall which is a further 10 minutes. There is also another in Jolly Harbour which is 15 minutes. 

Q. Do I need a car?

A. Yes, a 4WD is recommended. Tropical rentals will give Nicobar guests a discount. They have Rav’s, convertible Wranglers and Land Cruisers with 7 seats. 

Q. Will the housekeeper get some basic provisions in?

A. Yes Mearl will be happy to get the basics for you.  

Q Can we hire a chef?

A Yes we have a private chief. He charges between $100 & $150 to prepare dinner plus ingredients. He can also provide these. 

Q. Are there any water sports?

A. We have the number of a local boat owner driver who will come to the bay for waterskiing & jetskiing on request as well as snorkel trips. He will come to Galley Bay to pick you up. 

Q. Can I play tennis near by?

A. Jolly Harbour has tennis courts (20 minutes) 

Q. Can you recommend a babysitter?

A. Mearle the housekeeper was the infant’s child care manager at Sunsail hotel for many years. She is a grandmother and is fantastic with children. She will baby-sit for you  

Q. I would like to reserve what do I do?

A. A deposit of 20% is required to confirm your booking. A contract will be e mailed to you. The balance is due 2 months before the booking. A refundable security deposit of £1,000 is also required 2 months before the booking. 

Q. Are there any other costs?

A. No, however most guests choose to tip Mearle. 

Q .How far is the villa from the airport?

A . About 20 minutes 

Q Is the villa easy to find?

A If you prefere Mearle will meet you at the airport and you can follow her back in your hire car

Q. Does the villa have broadband?

 A . The villa has wireless broadband
